11 Years, 7 Months, 11 Days, 23 Hours, 58 Minutes

[edit2] The PDF trilogy is available now for $20 USD.

This took a week to put together because I found out all the speech bubbles in volume 2 were messed up somehow. Since I was in there fixing stuff anyway I slightly edited the art of v2 and v3. Some mistakes remain and I didn’t clean up the sketchy pages at all but it’s slightly less ugly now.

It’s done. I finished two weeks ago.

Thank you to the ten (we’ve increased from my previous guess of five) people still reading. I’ve received many sweet comments (and friends!) throughout this journey and I really appreciate them all. Clearly my heart was not in it the last few years but I’m glad to have stubbornly seen it through to the end. I do love these stupid characters but most of all I wanted to give readers closure.

Seven people voted for books. I’m extremely sorry but that is short of the minimum number that would justify putting myself through the torture. No print books. [edit] BUT there will be a PDF e-book bundle that will include volume 1′s bonus content as well as the front covers I started for the other two books. Triffid just gave me this idea so it might take a few days. I’ll stick a link here when I’m done and it’ll be up on my shop.

If you just want to give me your hard earned money for absolutely nothing in return I will totally take it. Another great way to throw your money in the trash is to buy my remaining stock of volume 1 that will never receive trilogy counterparts. Perhaps you could use the worthless pages as toilet paper or burn them in effigy?

I’ll let the domain lapse next year but you’ll be able to continue accessing the site via two-rooks.alicefox.com.

I guess that’s it. Peace.

I can’t describe how excited I was when I got the notice in my RSS feed that Two Rooks had started updating again, and over past few weeks I’ve been delighted every time a new page came up. I started reading in… god, I guess it was 2009, maybe even earlier, and it’s great to see it completed. Thank you so much for seeing it through to the finish despite how tiring it must have been. I really appreciate your hard work. I wish you all the best in the future!

Thank you for sticking around for such a long time! Almost a decade, I bet you are a different person now than when you started to read it. I am, at least.

I’ve been doing a lot of re-reading to refresh my memory, and it’s reminded me of how much I love this world that you created. Thank you very much for seeing it through for the sake of us readers – you didn’t have to do it, but you did, and I think that’s really impressive, even (or especially) if it’s been something of a slog. At the very least, it must be satisfying to definitively say it’s the last time you’ll miss Dea’s tattoo!

The old pages… Don’t gaze upon such horrors. ( ꒪Д꒪) Actually don’t look at anything.

It was very satisfying the day I finished but now I’m in a state of mourning, like all of these fictional characters I grew up with just died. It’s great to be free from the obligation to draw pages but it also feels sad and empty and weird.

Thank you for catching the tattoo and thanks for reading!!

I too was very excited to see you pop up on my RSS. It’s really something to be proud of, finishing your story, and I fucking loved it. I bet there were more people like us waiting out here in the ether than you think. It’s a great comic. Def will be looking for your ebook. If you could put a post on the RSS when it’s up, I would really appreciate it!

Thank you so much for sharing this comic with us! I’ve been reading from the beginning and it’s always been a joy when I see you’ve updated. It’s a great story and I love your art. I totally would have bought a hard copy, and I wish there was enough interest for it. It’s been a wonderful gift to us that you kept with it when you could, and we love you for that dedication! I hope it was a rewarding journey for you, as well! ❤❤❤

Thank you very much! My only take away is that I’ve met a lot of special people through this; it was worth it just for them. Maybe if I had been capable of finishing faster I could have printed books. I’m really sorry it didn’t work out!

I am both really happy you led us to the end… and sad it’s the end, heh <3

(Also full disclosure: I didn't vote for books because I'm in an. ah, precarious financial situation recently so I wouldn't be able to buy them T_T I will get the .pdf at some point, though, so I can reread the story of those doofoses on my phone/tablet/wherever :D)

Thank you, thank you for this great comic and thank you for seeing it through to the end <3
LOTS OF LOVE~<3 <3 <3

Pedes!!! ಥ﹏ಥ You don’t have to buy anything, you’ve done enough. Thank you for helping drag me to the end. I hope money comes your way soon! Feel free to hit me up anytime.

Just wanted to stop by and wish (belated, duh) Happy New Year. New year and a new chapter – maybe even a new book we can follow?

Sorry I missed this until now! Happy new year to you as well!

No book, I’m afraid, but I have been keeping busy. Maybe I’ll have a project or two to post about late in the year (not comics).

Congratulations on finishing this! We were friends many years ago when you started writing this and I was thinking of you tonight and I’m so impressed that you stuck with this! I don’t think I’ve ever had that much dedication in my life and I’m so incredibly proud of you. I look forward to reading this from beginning to end very soon.

Much Love,
