hi guys

four pages. wowowow.

[edit] I drunkposted this news post, that’s a first. I am embarrassed about it now so I’m editing this but thank you for all your support guys it really means a lot. I love you all.

as another of the five people who read this (i’m sure there’s more)…. i’d like to second shaun and give you a very big thank you!! thank you for what’s definitely my favorite webcomic on the internet, and thank you for not giving up on it.

I know ‘Boned’ must be taking up most of your time and energy, but i’m sure many people would love to see TR finished and the remaining chapters turned into a neat volume to hold and to love. Two Rooks has been one of my very favourites both in terms of art and story, and i must admit i am deeply attached to Dea and the rest of your cast.
So please don’t give up.

I don’t use IM, but if you need cheering on or silly fanart sketches give me a shout via email or the smackjeeves message system (my username is joolita).

Boned is actually two thirds finished which may be what’s prompting this guilt; I don’t want it to end before I can even complete Two Rooks. Thank you so much for all your support over the years, joolita.

I don’t really IM… but I am still reading. Thank you so much for your dedication to finishing this story and I am thrilled that you haven’t given up on it.

Your art style is unique and in the relatively early days of the comic opened my eyes to a whole new style (I didn’t grow up with comic books/graphic novels so the minimal color and large blocks of black that you used were totally new to me). Your art might not be as great in the new pages of Two Rooks, but I’m glad that you are continuing to churn out great art with Boned and I’m super duper glad that you haven’t let your bad experience with this comic turn you off making gorgeous art and telling awesome stories.

I can’t tell you how impressed I am that you are seeing this comic through to the end. I’ve been reading it from the beginning and am very grateful that you are not abandoning it. So many other great comics I read took that turn, and it takes real strength to stick by a project like this, especially when it takes much longer than you planned. Every time you post a new comic, all I feel is happy that it is still going. It’s the gift that keeps giving!
This is one of the coolest, and most original, comics I have ever read and I would love to buy a hard copy of it whenever it gets completed. And however long it takes for you to be able to finish, I will be tagging along for the ride.
You are awesome. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Yes, it’s been a while, but believe me when I say that those who are still reading really appreciate you taking the time to come back to this. I’ve read a lot… probably too many webcomics, and I’ve seen far too many good ones fall off the radar and go unfinished. I’m glad that I won’t have to say goodbye to this one yet.

I’m sure there’s wayyy more than 5 who reads this still. Just wanted to give you my support! Still follow all your projects and I have to say your works are awesome ^^

Keep it up! I’d LOVE to see this one completed as it was one of the first few webcomics I followed (don’t remember how I came across this.. but it really made an impression on me).

Thank you for all the time and effort!

I’ve been following Two Rooks for a long time. I have you in my feed reader so I always know when a new page is up. I’m following Boned as well. You have good characters and an interesting story, and updates are well worth waiting for.

I used to read Two Rooks EONS ago (so to speak), and came across a really old fanart I did of Serus and decided to return and see whats up. I was pleasantly surprised to see that its still going, so today I read all the way through the archives up to the present day. I can’t wait to read more. The characters and the plot flow smoother than any comic I’ve ever read on line (and I’ve read a lot!). I’m still in love with your art style, with your characters, with everything noir this comic has going for it. Can’t wait to see more!
